Hi y'all! Hope you are doing well.
Today I will write about our latest task, which is creating a video to teach vocabulary with flipped classroom technique.
When we think about classrooms, a traditional scene pops up in our heads: the teacher stands in front of the classroom, talks, the students take notes, and so on. Though this has been a standard for education for so many years, debates about its efficiency is nothing new. So, new teaching methods come out to improve traditional teaching.
"Flipped classroom" is one of them. It can save teachers time, enable students to involve in learning more and it is a fun way to use technology in your teaching.
We used animatron to create our video. I didn't know about this tool before but my dear friend and partner Esma introduced it to me (check out her amazing blog here) There are other free animation tools as well but this was the best of all that we've come across so far. We introduced Funfair vocabulary with repetition and a piece of fun music.
I really enjoyed the process and kept smiling throughout the whole time so I guess young learners would love it as well.
We also prepared some exercises (an anagram and a maze chase) on WordWall.
Enough talking, here is the video 😊
Hope you liked it, take care!
