Hello again!
Today I am going to share a movie poster that I designed for a book I love. Lionsgate is going to make a film adaptation for this book but I thought it would be fun to make my own version first. I talked about this book before (on my wiki page) but I will briefly give information on it again.
So, this book is a prequel book of The Hunger Games series.
It is about the teenage years of Panem’s tyrannic president, Coriolanus Snow. It is a very interesting and enlightening book, especially if you had a hard time understanding his actions in the trilogy.
Anyways, for my poster I chose a picture of a girl (Lucy Gray) in a field. For the sake of not spoiling the book for you, I will only say that you will understand why I chose this picture when you read the book yourself.
I used a website called “Canva” for the movie poster. The website has its own database of pictures, shapes, stickers, filters, etc. It also gives you different types of layouts. I liked how I didn’t have to use tons of different sources to create what I wanted, so I highly recommend using it.
Anyways, here is my poster
This activity is something that I will definitely use for my future students. There are reasons for it; it is highly engaging, it promotes creativity and it gives you the experience of visual-editing.
Thank you for reading.
Take care and
"May the odds be ever in your favor!"
